For three days next August, Békés bursts into life with Madzagfalva Days (Madzagfalvi Napok), a community festival showcasing everything this southeastern Hungarian city treasures. Streets fill with music, markets bring local flavor, and classic games, exhibitions, and performances offer both family-friendly fun and an authentic slice of tradition from August 22–24, 2025.
Concerts and Stars You Can’t Miss
Main acts like Dzsúdló and Wellhello headline this year’s music lineup, joined by popular favorites Csabi Bódi (Bódi Csabi), Péter Srámek (Peter Srámek), and AK26. Friday brings a strong opening with LMEN PRALA, D SESSION, Willcox, and Czaga late into the night. On Saturday, Buborék Band (Buborék Együttes), Attila Serbán (Serbán Attila), and “Adam and Eve from Neoton Family (Ádám és Éva from Neoton Família)” keep energy high, with live music rolling past midnight thanks to DJ Coby, Erős vs. Spigiboy, and DJ Dominique. On Sunday, unwind with Szilvi Dankó (Dankó Szilvi), Dupla Kávé, and Lajcsi Lagzi (Lagzi Lajcsi).
Festival Fun on the Water and More
The festival sprawls across Békés, including a peaceful 62-acre resort nestled by the Körös River—just 650 feet from the local marina, making it perfect for boat lovers and explorers alike. The historic hotel, built in 1913, is now a modern retreat, complete with a pub, rooftop garden, conference hall, pizzeria, and wellness center.
Sweet Traditions Live On
Don’t leave without tasting classic and house-made sweets at Juhász Confectionery (Juhász Cukrászda), a beloved local family business serving up thirty kinds of desserts every day. Quality is always the top priority here.
