Malom és Kacsa in Tata kicks off the 2025/26 season with a packed slate of theater, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, and culinary adventures along the shore of the Old Lake. Once a working mill, the venue has become one of the town’s liveliest cultural hubs, where panoramic views meet inventive cuisine and late-night arts. Find it at 2890 Tata, Tópart u. 19. The team promises intimate shows, bold flavors, and a cozy setting that wraps the past in contemporary architecture and cooking. Book a table for lunch or dinner, plan a sunset date, or host your milestone events and corporate gatherings here—then linger upstairs in the premium apartments for a stress-free night.
Jan 2, 2026 — Sound-Bath Supper
“Léleksimogató” blends guided deep relaxation with live music and a culinary journey through winter-inspired flavors. The evening opens with crystal singing bowls leading a meditative journey into sound and vibration. Thoughts hush, the soul slips into quiet, and the body loosens its grip on stress, pent-up emotions, and tension. It’s more than a dinner, more than a relaxation—an immersive sanctuary for a tired soul, with flavors to anchor you in the present. Location: Tata.
Jan 14, 2026 — Sex Ed: Cabaret for Adults
A candid, comic, adults-only sex education cabaret that tackles the questions people actually ask: How do you get there? How many times? Is every day too much? Is this okay? Is it normal if it hurts? How many inches of hair are still acceptable? Zero tolerance? When exactly do you take out the condom? No patience, too awkward? The show riffs on flops and thrills alike, with a playful lineup featuring the Hair Demon, the Hormone Creature, the Bodily Fluid Spirit, the Cringe Elf, the Virgin Ghost, the Size Squad, and two leads, Vasz and Bina. Location: Tata.
Feb 11, 2026 — Babylon Dossier
“Babilon dosszié” with Andrea Fullajtár revives a remarkable camp diary and the fight to publish it under the János Kádár era. Olga Galló wouldn’t yield; what she could not say returns in a searing, personal monodrama by her granddaughter, Fullajtár. The script draws on the manuscript of Galló’s “Tíz hónap Babilonban” (Ten Months in Babylon) and the author’s correspondence. Location: Tata.
Stay by the Old Lake
Two stylish suites—Kis Lilik and Nagy Lilik—reached via a glass stairwell sit inside the protected mill complex, with sweeping views of the Old Lake, a Ramsar-listed, uniquely European bird stopover. Malom és Kacsa Boutique Hotel, Bistro & Events offers restful digs for show nights or a Tata getaway. Organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs.
