The 28th Szolnok (Szolnok) Regional Military Band Festival will take over Tiszai Sailors’ Square (Tiszai HajĂłsok Square) on August 29, 2025, bringing brass, drums, and a touch of showbiz sparkle to Szolnok (Szolnok). Starting at 5:30 PM, the musicians of the Hungarian Defence Forces promise much more than just traditional marches—expect classic military tunes alongside modern pop favorites, all delivered in energetic, crowd-pleasing performances.
Who’s Playing?
Several distinguished military bands are on the roster: the Szolnok (Szolnok) Air Force Band, led by Major János Molnár; the Kaposvár (Kaposvár) Garrison Band, directed by Major András Major; the Tata (Tata) Garrison Band, conducted by Major Attila Balázs; and the Debrecen (Debrecen) Garrison Band, under the baton of Captain Róbert Kovács. Each brings its own signature sound and style, giving the festival a unique musical blend found only at this military celebration.
