Gyula’s Almásy Castle turns Sundays into kid-friendly adventures with the Castle Tour with Dönci the Dachshund. Tailored for families with young children, the playful 45-minute tour is led by the character Count Dénes “Dönci” the Dachshund, who “knows” every secret of the mansion and helps little explorers discover the building in a fun, hands-on way. Children are encouraged to take Dönci in hand and let him spill the castle’s best-kept stories. After the guided “dog walk,” families can loop back through the rooms on their own and try the exhibits that caught their eye.
The guaranteed Sunday program takes place at the Almásy Mansion in the Castle Garden (Várkert), Gyula, starting at 11:00. Participation requires a castle entry ticket plus an extra 800 HUF (about 2.17 USD) per person.
