2026.06.21. (Sunday) — 2112 Veresegyház, Búcsú tér. From June to August, Mézesvölgyi Nyár brings Pest County’s biggest cross-arts open-air theater festival back to life. Every summer it rolls out hit productions and standout actors for theater lovers, with a packed season of comedies, concerts, and family shows under the stars.
2026.06.21. — Charlie concert. Hungarian pop-rock’s unmistakable giant, Horváth Charlie, kicks things off with a smoky blend of blues, punchy jazz, and pure Hungarian rock that suits the magic of Veresegyház nights. Expect timeless anthems from Jég dupla jéggel to Nézz az ég felé — the kind of songs generations belt out alongside him.
2026.07.03. — Neil Simon: Pletykafészek (Rumors) — farce in two acts. Sit back and watch rumors ricochet through the upper crust, and laugh as the high and mighty tie themselves in ever-tighter knots.
2026.07.07. — Dés László – Geszti Péter – Grecsó Krisztián: A Pál utcai fiúk (The Paul Street Boys). The classic shifts from kids’ quarrels to clashes between young adults, cranking up the dramatic tension with modern sounds and lyrics. The production leans on acoustic stagecraft, the actors’ rhythmic inventiveness, youthful energy and humor, and the cathartic core of the original.
2026.07.08. — A Pál utcai fiúk — musical play in two acts. The same powerful concept returns the next night: a sharper, contemporary musical take where live acoustic effects and youthful drive make the old story hit hard and true.
2026.07.12. — A dzsungel könyve (The Jungle Book). Mowgli, the man-cub, faces his enemies and searches for happiness with his new family beneath thick canopies. A must-see, heart-squeezing and heartwarming tale of friendship and love for kids and the young at heart.
2026.07.15. — Jeanie Linders: Menopauza (Menopause The Musical). That certain season arrives in every woman’s life. Some hide it, others joke about it. Linders’ worldwide hit tackles it all loudly, frankly, and riotously.
2026.07.19. — Geszti Péter concert. The frontman of positive energy brings stadium-shaking Rapülők dance bangers, Jazz+Az funk flavors, Gringó Sztár vibes, and pop delicacies from Létvágy — live, with slick stage tech, heaps of humor, and candid lyrics.
2026.07.22. — Csengetett, Mylord? (You Rang, M’Lord?) — world premiere stage adaptation. Widower Lord Meldrum shares a 1920s London upper-class life with his brother, mother-in-law, and two daughters. Below stairs, the cook, footman, butler, and maid are just as colorful. After the TV comedy built on the upstairs-downstairs divide, the stage version lets the now-cult characters chase their passions — for money, for skirts — with gleeful abandon.
2026.07.26. — Steven Moffat: Rém Rendes Vendég (The Unfriend) — two-act comedy. Polite English couple Peter and Debbie befriend American widow Elsa on a cruise. They swap addresses; usually nothing comes of it. Not this time. One day Elsa rings the bell — just after the couple reads terrifying things about her online. Panic. They don’t want her near their two teens, but they also don’t want to be rude. Enter a nosy neighbor and a police sergeant to stir the chaos. Fresh from London’s West End straight to Budapest’s Játékszín, the dreadfully decent guest arrives — and now to Veresegyház.
2026.07.28. — Ne most, Drágám! (Not Now, Darling) — comedy. Love triangles, mink coats, scantily clad ladies, clothes flying out windows, total bedlam — all set in London’s swankiest fur salon, designed for pure, guilt-free laughter.
2026.08.05. — Az Ackroyd gyilkosság (The Murder of Roger Ackroyd) — crime. Hercule Poirot retires to the sleepy English village of King’s Abbot. Soon after, two inexplicable deaths rock the calm. Kálid Artúr takes on Poirot, with Szabó P. Szilveszter as Dr. James Sheppard, in a tense Agatha Christie classic.
2026.08.07. — Anconai szerelmesek (Lovers in Ancona) — musical comedy. For two decades, one of Hungary’s most-performed comedies. It fuses Italian commedia flair with classic Hungarian humor and the catchiest 1970s Italian hits.
2026.08.11. — Anconai szerelmesek a Balatonon (Lovers in Ancona at Lake Balaton) — musical comedy. Twenty years fly by mostly on paper. It’s the warm, wonder-seeking summer of 1989, and the entire Italian crew heads to Hungary to hunt for roots, old-new loves, calm, and happiness. The SZOT resort boss, Comrade Békés, ensures plenty of all of it. Meanwhile, the bel canto flows: Azzurro, Bella Ciao, Sono l’italiano…
2026.08.15. — Egy életem — biographical stand-up with Csuja Imre. He tells his life story as we know him: modest, funny, and heartwarming. Childhood tales of a directing mother, early years on stage, the grind of four shows a day, lessons from old masters, and how he met his wife over 40 years ago. And of course, the legendary films Üvegtigris (Glass Tiger) and Valami Amerika (A Kind of America), with behind-the-scenes gems.
2026.08.18. — Túl a Maszat-hegyen? (Beyond Smudge Hill?) — comedy. A world where smudge is order and cleaning is chaos. Muhi Andris sets off to rescue friends from the realm of blobs, dusters, and terrifying neat freaks. A colorful, magical, irresistibly musical journey for all ages, where play, imagination, and laughter are the top allies — and vacuum cleaners aren’t always on the right side.
2026.08.29. — Nem rongyos élet — újravarrva (Not a Ragged Life — Restitched) | operetta gala. Last year they promised; this year they overdeliver. Remember when drama titans and operetta stars tore up the csárdás on this same stage? New faces, old favorites: the crème of Hungarian theater reunites to prove that operetta — a true Hungarikum — belongs to everyone.
