Every year on December 30th, Budapest becomes home to an unforgettable celebration: the MUSIC-WINE festival (ZENE-BOR), now marking its 29th run in 2025. This long-standing tradition delivers a dazzling gala concert led by the world-famous 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra (100 Tagú Cigányzenekar). The massive orchestra’s signature sound blends virtuoso gypsy tunes with classical and folk music, all in unique arrangements found nowhere else.

This year’s repertoire continues to honor tradition, treating fans to favorites by composers Franz Lehár (Ferenc Lehár) and Emmerich Kálmán (Imre Kálmán). Accompanied by star soloists from the Operetta Theatre (Operettszínház), the concert is split into two parts and concludes with a spectacular fireworks show. József Lendvai Csócsi (Lendvai Csócsi József), the principal violinist, leads the orchestra through can’t-miss closers: Pacsirta (“The Lark”) and the Radetzky March.
