Ready for a night where music, food, and tradition come together? On December 30, 2025, Budapest’s Novotel Congress Center hosts the 29th annual MUSIC-WINE (ZENE-BOR) celebration, starring the one-of-a-kind 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra (100 Tagú Cigányzenekar). This year, as always, the world’s only orchestra of this size closes its season with a gala concert that’s all about rich sound, virtuoso performances, and an unmatched festive atmosphere.

Music Like You’ve Never Heard Before

The concert is a two-part extravaganza, blending gypsy virtuosity with famous classical pieces and folk tunes, reimagined in electrifying, orchestral arrangements unique to the ensemble. Fans of operetta will love hearing hits by Ferenc Lehár and Imre Kálmán, performed by popular soloists from the Operetta Theatre (Operettszínház). As tradition demands, concertmaster József Lendvai Csócsi leads the grand finale—complete with fireworks—with favorites like Nightingale (Pacsirta) and the Radetzky March.

Feasting Fit for Royalty

If culinary delights matter just as much as music to you, you won’t be disappointed. Guests are welcomed with drinks before enjoying a festive dinner. VIP and top table seat holders enjoy a four-course feast—think duck liver torchon with candied orange chutney and Mangalica ham, guinea fowl consommé, bacon-wrapped Mangalica served with potato gratin, and a pumpkin seed choux pastry with raspberries. There’s also artisan bread, wine (white, red, rosé), sparkling water, and coffee, all included. Vegetarian options are available upon request.

Not up for the full feast? The cold platter offers a refined selection, from gravlax salmon and goat cheese tart to eggplant tartare, plus all drinks and breads.

Tickets, Tables, and Pricing

Ticket prices are as follows (USD): VIP dinner at a private table of eight for $230, Category I for $195, Category II for $175, Category III (cold platter) for $125, and balcony-only seats range from $80 to $50 depending on the row. Organizers reserve the right to combine tables as needed.

2025 promises another unforgettable night where sound, spectacle, and flavor blend in a way only Budapest (Budapest) can deliver.

2025, adrienne
