Step into a world of magic, danger, and adventure at LEGENDÁS LÉNYEK – Secret Rescue Mission (Legendás Lények – Titkos mentőakció), an interactive exhibition and adventure game for children at Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyad vára) in Budapest, from September 20 to November 30, 2025. Visitors will find themselves wandering through realms born from myths and fairy tales, where their courage, cleverness, and senses are put to the test in a series of mysterious rescue missions.
Embark on Enchanted Quests
Ancient secrets linger in the forests, where spells imprison legendary beings. Imagine a fire-breathing dragon gazing into a magic orb, a pathway concealing a dreamcatcher, and a whirlwind powered by the mighty wings of a griffin. Greed binds delicate fairies and blazing phoenixes, making the Land of Tales (Mesék Földje) a treacherous place filled with both wonder and peril. The bravest participants can earn special rewards—but beware, the secret rescue mission is full of surprises and mind-bending challenges.
Can You Outsmart the Cunning Kobold?
A greedy Kobold (Kobold) has captured the legends’ most magical creatures to exploit their powers and seize the treasure of the Golden Mountain (Aranyhegy). Your mission: stage a daring rescue, free the creatures, and steal the Kobold’s enchanting medallion. Quick wits, sharp senses, and a fearless heart are all you’ll need. Success earns not only a reward but also the undying gratitude of magical beings.
Challenges, Clues, and Fantasy Trails
Throughout the adventure, you’ll help hesitant dwarves escape a winding maze, identify a griffin’s footprints, break the thunderbird’s enchanted shackles, and solve the unicorn’s tricky illusions. Will you manage to help a pixie caught in a dreamcatcher, a hypnotized dragon, a hot-tempered phoenix, and an exhausted magical horse?
Journey through legendary realms, meet creatures from folk tales and fantasy legends, and solve puzzles from station to station as a game booklet leads you to the final, ultimate challenge in the Kobold’s lair. Spanning over 7,500 square feet, the exhibition promises dazzling sets, inventive installations, treasures to discover, and plenty of prizes.
