Summer kick-off: media and film workshop

July 6–10, Ócsa hosts a five-day Media and Film Camp for 14–19-year-olds. It’s equal parts boot camp and creative sprint, leading to a final project titled Ócsa Image (Ócsa). Teens learn the ropes of filmmaking across five intensive days, collaborating from concept to shoot to edit, then present a closing project that frames the town through their lens.

Free weekly clubs at the Egressy Center

Running July through December, the Egressy Gábor Leisure Center opens its doors for a wide slate of free clubs. Participation costs nothing, making it an easy entry point for anyone who wants to learn, grow, or just get a dose of community. Coffee, connections, and collaborations

July 7 marks the pre-summer-break finale of Köszi Kávé – the Entrepreneur Partner Point breakfast meet-up. Doors open at #abisztró from 7:30 a.m. Expect real talk over great coffee, with a focus on connection, inspiration, and new ideas so you don’t carry the weight of your business alone. Bring another entrepreneur, show how strong the local ecosystem is, and maybe spark your next collaboration between sips.

Kids step into the spotlight

July 13–17 brings Summer Creative Tale Camp – I’ll Be an Artist (Nyári Alkotó Mesetábor – Művész leszek), the second session this year for ages 6–14. The format is an immersive creative arc:
– Kids dream up their own stories
– Paint and draw the worlds they imagine
– Perform them on stage and even shoot short films
By week’s end, a collective story emerges—and every child is part of it in thought and in creation. Confidence, self-expression, and imagination are the north stars here.

Old Village festival: three days, three moods

September 24–26, the 2026 Ócsa Old Village Cultural Festival brings an autumn glow to historic streets. Daytime is for families, community programs, and craft treasures; evenings flip the switch to music, laughter, and chance encounters. Think intimate moments and fizzing festival energy: street music, wines, food experiences, kids’ programs, community cooking, market bustle, and plenty of surprises. For three days, every corner of the Old Village comes alive, and every generation finds a reason to linger, look around, and be together.

Eat, drink, gather: where to plug into the scene

– Szebedinszky Vineyard sits in the postcard setting of the Oldhegy cellar row, on the bank of the Ancient Danube bed. There’s outdoor parking, flexible functional spaces, and an intimate feel close to the city buzz. This craft winery pours premium and top-tier bottles for tastings and also serves as a venue for private events. Between house-organized happenings and custom bookings, it’s a go-to for wine lovers and hosts alike.
– The Bisztró is where the action is—by day, a bistro; by night, a meeting point. Quality drinks, good vibes, shared moments. It’s part of the cultural center’s ecosystem, plugged into concerts, events, after-parties, and big blowouts. If you’re chasing a night to remember, start here.
– For tastings and wine dinners underground, Ócsa’s vaulted cellars are a year-round bet with natural climate control, superb wines, and dramatic interiors. They double as event venues and hit the sweet spot for family gatherings, weddings, banquets, meetups, intimate team-builders, and dinners—all in a setting that elevates the occasion.

Dining, desserts, and downtime

Ócsa’s dining scene covers every mood: a romantic dinner, a business lunch, or just coffee and a long chat with friends. One cozy spot seats 40 indoors in winter, with an extra 30 outside on the summer terrace. Expect house-made soft-serve and artisanal scooped ice cream alongside lemonades and specialty coffees when you need to cool down or perk up.

And beyond: engines and sunshine

Looking ahead, mark May 8, 2027: Gas Fumes Festival & Women’s Sun Lounge (Benzingőz Fesztivál & Női Napozó) promises a roaring Ócsa. Engines, energy, and a sunny day tailor-made for a city that likes life at full volume.

For accommodations, food and drink, and logistics, options span multiple locations across town. Phone contacts and addresses are available locally. Organizers reserve the right to make changes to dates and programs.
