Orma Bakery (Orma Pékség) opens its Budapest (Budapest) shop on July 7 for a one-week soft launch at Thirty-Twoers’ Square (Harminckettesek tere) 13, welcoming early birds through July 12. The Pécs (Pécs)-born artisan bakery rolls in with slow-fermented sourdough breads, stacked sandwiches, sweets, and a bright drinks lineup featuring fermented sips, kombucha, and batch-brew coffee.
Local, Organic, No Compromises
Everything leans into natural methods, seasonality, and local sourcing. Orma works exclusively with Hungarian small producers, using organic ingredients to keep flavors clean and honest. Expect crusty loaves with long proofs, pastries that are big on butter and technique, and fillings that follow what’s fresh right now.
What to Try First
Start with the wild-yeast sourdough, then grab a sandwich built on the same bread. Pair it with a tangy house kombucha or a straight-up batch brew. It’s a test run, so go early, expect limited batches, and plan to come back—this week-long preview is the first taste of Orma’s Budapest (Budapest) chapter.
