January Highlights
January 17 brings Michael Cooney’s Who’s There?! (Nicsak, ki lakik itt?!) by Bánfalvy Studio (Bánfalvy Stúdió) at the Petőfi Cultural Center (Petőfi Művelődési Központ), tickets from $22.20–$25.00. The same day: Orosháza Farmers’ Ball (Orosházi Gazdabál) – 20th Anniversary Jubilee. On January 19, Faces, Rhythms, Cultures (Arcok, ritmusok, kultúrák) opens—Mihály László’s exhibition runs until February 12. January 21 features Unscripted (Kötetlenül), a theater-literary chat with actor Dorka Gryllus for the Day of Hungarian Culture, moderated by Judit Csáki—free with advance registration at the Petőfi Center info desk or by phone. January 23 hosts a quiz night for Culture Day, and January 24 brings MobileCinema (MozgóMozi). On January 30, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons (A négy évszak) shines in a candlelight concert at the Petőfi Cultural Center, followed on January 31 by a stand-up comedy show with Gyuri Orosz, Barnabás Lorán, and Mályki Valtner.
