Now in its third year, the Great Danube Bend Paddle (Dunakanyar) will bring together hundreds of adventurers on September 6, 2025. The paddling journey begins in the morning from Szob, with all kinds of vessels—kayaks, canoes, even dragon boats. Feel free to join with your own craft, or bring a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) if that’s more your style. Every boat has at least one experienced helmsman on board, and professional tour guides will be watching out for everyone’s safety.
River Fun and a Tasty Finish
The adventure glides along the picturesque Danube all the way to Verőce, where the paddle party wraps up in the afternoon. Expect live concerts, fun side activities, plenty of refreshments, and a hearty serving of Hungarian goulash soup (gulyásleves) waiting ashore for all participants. Whether you’re in it for the sport, the scenery, or just the soup and music, this is set to be a must-paddle event next fall.
