The tour is strictly for those aged 12 and older, reflecting the grandeur (and, let’s face it, the delicate secrets) of the site. Are you an eager photographer? Sorry, but taking photos is forbidden in the closed-off sections; those areas can only be accessed by stairs, so be prepared for some climbing. And, since the first part of the walk takes place outdoors, check the weather and dress accordingly.
Practical Info
To join the experience, you must register for your chosen time slot. The meeting point is at the Veres Pálné statue, at 1053 Budapest, Veres Pálné utca 1, and you should arrive on time; the group spends 10 minutes there before moving to the Kossuth Lajos Street entrance of Parisian Court (Párisi Udvar). If you’re running late, you can catch up with the group at these two locations during the first 20 minutes.
The tour finishes at Ferenciek Square (Ferenciek tere), which is easily reached on foot from the M3 metro, Ferenciek Square stop. The ticket price is $27 per person.
