+
Unique “oldest continuously operating brewery in Hungary” angle adds real historic appeal

No need for a car in Pécs—local public transport and walkability are solid once you’re in town
+
Easy Saturday cadence with many 2026 dates, plus weekday options for larger groups
+
Pécs is a charming university city with Roman ruins and museums, so you can make a full day of it
+
Stacks up well against international brewery tours by offering production-floor access and a focused tasting - Tours are in Hungarian, so non-speakers may miss details unless an English option is arranged
Cons
Pécs isn’t as internationally famous as Budapest, so the location may be off most U.S. travelers’ radar
Reaching Pécs from Budapest takes 2.5–3 hours by train or car, which can be a stretch for tight itineraries
Registration process (email, confirmation required by Thursday) is less plug-and-play than typical tourist bookings
