Pécs’s Zsolnay Cultural Quarter, the city’s flagship from the Pécs 2010 European Capital of Culture project, rolls out a packed 2026 calendar mixing open-air films, jazz nights, family workshops, science camps, theater, and candlelit classical concerts in the Pirogránit Courtyard. Tickets typically range from about USD 19 to USD 30, with some marquee shows higher.

July: Cool Walks, Open-Air Cinema, and Hands-On Art

From July 7 to 12, Cooling Walk in the Zsolnay Quarter guides visitors through shaded routes and ceramic heritage. July 12 adds a trio: Pirogránit Garden Cinema screens Az elveszett Frigyláda fosztogatói (Raiders of the Lost Ark), a mandala workshop titled What’s Your Mandala?, and the dusk-time Summer Evening Pirogránit Walk. Science Adventure summer camp runs July 13–17, while guided tours like Zsolnay in Pink at the Pink Zsolnay exhibition pop up July 14, followed by another Cooling Walk set for July 14–19. Track the shimmering signature glaze on In the Footsteps of Eosin on July 15.

Jazz, Heritage Walks, and Discovery Tours

On July 16, Metronóm Jazz Club hosts Oláh Dezső Trió – Intermezzo. The same day, two heritage walks unfold: In the Footsteps of the Zsolnays through the family’s former home, and another Summer Evening Pirogránit Walk. Discovery Walk in the Golden Age of Zsolnay – Gyugyi Collection returns July 17–18, and hands get busy July 18 with Tile Folding – Gift Bag Workshop alongside a full thematic Art Immersion Day in the Quarter.

Rom-Coms, Sci-Fi, and Family Days

July 19 brings Pirogránit Garden Cinema: A szerelem hullámhosszán (Sleepless in Seattle), plus another evening Pirogránit walk. Science Adventure camp is back July 20–24. Zsolnay in Pink tours run on July 21, and Cooling Walk resumes July 21–26. In the Footsteps of Eosin returns July 22. August: Iron Man to Vivaldi by Candlelight

August kicks off Aug 2 with What’s Your Mandala?, a Summer Evening Pirogránit Walk, and Pirogránit Garden Cinema: Vasember (Iron Man). On Aug 8, Tile Folding – Notebook Cover Workshop pairs with Glazed Tales. Metronóm Jazz Club returns Aug 13 with Fusio Group – New Visions. Aug 15 stages Candlelight Under the Stars | The Four Seasons in the Pirogránit Courtyard, priced roughly USD 19 to USD 30, plus a Gift Bag Workshop and another Art Immersion Day. Vecsei and QJÚB present The Boy Turned into a Stag Crying from the Gate of Secrets. Sept 18 brings Metronóm Jazz Club: Mózes–Kaltenecker – Sub-Rosa.
