Persimmon Harvest Goes Boxed In Boda

Pick-up persimmon crates in Boda: fresh, hand-picked fruit after spring frosts. Sale Nov 3, 9–15 daily, 63 Sándor Petőfi Street. $3.25
when: 2025.11.03., Monday
where: 7672 Boda, Petőfi Sándor utca 63.

Boda’s hillside harvest is on—but with a twist. After spring frosts wiped out much of the fruit, the remaining persimmons were picked early and will be sold straight from crates instead of the usual on-the-tree picking. The sale kicks off November 3, 2025, and runs while supplies last at the Boda plantation, 63 Sándor Petőfi Street (Petőfi Sándor utca 63), ZIP 7672. Daily hours: 9:00–15:00. Price: $3.25 per pound (converted from 1200 HUF/kg). Bring your own crate or box; no pruning shears needed this year. As in previous seasons, signs will mark the route up to the vineyard slope.

What’s Different This Year

A rough spring forced a change in the playbook. With many fruits frozen off, organizers opted to hand-pick what survived ahead of time. Expect fresh, ripe persimmons ready to take home—no orchard climbing required. The team will keep the gates open every day until the last crate is gone.

Plan Your Visit

Head to Boda from November 3, follow the posted signs, shop between 9 and 3, and bring carry boxes. Everyone’s welcome.

2025, adrienne
