For two vibrant days at Hidegség (Valea Rece), the legendary Csángó Túrós Puliszkafesztivál (Csángó Polenta with Cottage Cheese Festival) takes over on August 30–31, 2025. It’s an explosion of tradition, music, dance, and delicious polenta straight from the Gyimes (Ghimeș) region, mixing classic flavors with new experiences.
Dance, Music, and Real Csángó Vibes
Saturday afternoon kicks off with folk dance groups and bands from Gyimes (Ghimeș), Csíkszereda (Miercurea Ciuc), Frumoasa, Ágnia (Agănia), and other villages, all bringing the true Csángó spirit to the stage. Expect nonstop music, dancing, and a warm crowd.
Sunday: Mass, Cook-Offs, and Surprises
Sunday begins with a special mass celebrated by Father Csaba Böjte, followed by the battle of the puliszkas—a polenta-cooking competition filled with intoxicating scents and flavors. Throughout the day, brass bands, male choirs, dancers, musicians, star guests, and surprises keep the energy high.
An Evening Party Like No Other
