The Festetics Palace Hunting Museum in Keszthely (Keszthely) is hosting “Nature in the World of Art,” an exhibition by renowned porcelain and nature painter Erzsébet Seres. Her unique works reveal how the subtle details of wildlife—birds, game animals, and flowers—are captured on porcelain, exploring the harmony between nature and artistry.
Crafting Art, Honoring Heritage
Seres honed her skills at the legendary Herend Porcelain Manufactory (Herend), where she spent nearly 15 years under the mentorship of leading masters. She later opened her own workshop, creating hand-painted originals and small series, each departing from mass production and often featuring her own imaginative designs.
Beyond Porcelain Plates
Nature is always center stage in Seres’s works, but she also paints family crests and hunting-themed decorations. As a member of the Diana Huntress Ladies’ Club (Diána Vadászhölgyek Klubja), she uses her art to celebrate hunting traditions. Her work has been showcased at major national and international exhibitions since the 1980s.
This vibrant exhibition runs until October 3, 2025, during regular museum hours at the Keszthely Hunting Museum (Keszthelyi Vadászati Múzeum).
