On October 11, 2025, Fonyód’s main square will burst with energy for “Pumpkin Good Day” (Tök Jó Nap), welcoming families, locals, and anyone looking for some autumn excitement. This all-day festival is packed with non-stop activities for all ages, kicking off at 1:30 PM with an opening ceremony, quickly followed by the lively tunes of the Fonyód Volunteer Firefighters’ Band.
Music, Dance, Contests
Just minutes later, the arts school’s folk singers take the stage. The traditional mood continues with the third Fonyód Folk Festival (Folklór Fesztivál) and folk dance house at 2 PM. Later, children’s favorite Fruzsina Kovácsovics (Kovácsovics Fruzsina) performs, followed by pop band UNIQUE shaking things up before the pumpkin carving and costume contest has its big reveal at 5:50 PM. Afterward, Black Café Band, party starter DJ Tib, and hitmaker Lotfi Begi keep the crowd dancing well after dark, ending the night with DJ Tib’s retro disco.
All-Day Autumn Fun
Festivalgoers can carve pumpkins, marvel at pumpkin lanterns, get crafty, shop at the artisan fair, let kids play in the playhouse, or dig into pumpkin-themed treats at the food stalls. Organizers reserve the right to adjust the schedule, so be ready for surprises!
