Honoring Heroes and Sacrifice
Deputy Mayor Petronella Majoros will deliver the official speech, paying tribute to those who fought and fell. The highlight of the day is an artistic performance titled “Waving Holey Flags” (“Lengő lyukas zászlók”), staged by director István Pinczés. Jászai Mari Prize-winning actor Zsolt Dánielfy and the Debrecen Amateur Acting Studio troupe will bring the spirit of ’56 to life through this evocative show. The Zichy Géza Art School’s wind orchestra will provide a stirring musical backdrop, while prayers for the heroes and victims will be led by Reformed Pastor Norbert Czető and Greek Catholic Priest András Fekete.
