Fashion, Secrets, Stories

On November 8, 2025, the Autumn Festival of Museums offers wardrobe-themed deep dives: Gardróbtitkok – avagy mit rejtett a főúri asszonyok ruhatára (Wardrobe Secrets – what aristocratic ladies hid), a spotlight on a special women’s ceremonial dress from the last royal coronation, and Újramódi (Fashion and dressing at the palace), plus a family-led tour on the same theme. Kids get their own adventure at Kastélylurkók Klubja – Vendégségben a királyi gyermekeknél (Royal Kids’ Club – Visiting the royal children).

From Tapestries to Saddles

November 9 features Kárpitmustra, avagy mibe öltöznek a királyi szobák? (Tapestry Showcase). On November 10, a theater piece, Piros esőt kortyolt a föld – Nyolcvan évvel ezelőtt, is paired with (Dáma) Nyeregbe! Lótörténetek a kastélyból ((Lady) In the Saddle! Horse Tales from the Palace). Zorán performs on November 11.

Queen, Classics, Crime

Competitions and concerts honor Empress Elisabeth: a recitation contest on November 15 and a free concert by the Jávorkai Brothers with the Elisabeth String Ensemble on November 16. More stage hits: Csíky Gergely: A nagymama (Nov 21), Kőszívű, a Baradlay-legenda – concert version (Nov 22), Budavári Chamber Orchestra’s Mozart’s Forgotten Contemporaries (Mozart elfeledett kortársai) (Nov 23), and Emberi bestiák (Human Beasts), a talk on serial killers (Nov 29).

Advent to Spring Highlights

Királyi karácsonyok (Royal Christmases) (Dec 6 and 8), Kastélylurkók Klubja (Dec 6), and Advent a Kastélyban (Advent at the Palace) weekends (Dec 6–7, Dec 13–14) set the holiday mood. Year-end laughs arrive with Előszilveszteri Kabaré (Pre-New Year’s Eve Cabaret) on December 30. 2026 brings Dámák a pakliban – krimi-vígjáték (Ladies in the Deck – a crime comedy) (Jan 17), Takács Nikolas – Valentine’s concert (Feb 14), Vastag Csaba and Vastag Tamás – Women’s Day concert (Mar 8), and Zoltán Miller – Mother’s Day concert (May 3).
