
The Gödöllő Royal Palace is gearing up for another year packed with music, offering something for fans of all genres. The historic Grassalkovich Palace (Grassalkovich-kastély) in Gödöllő opens its doors to classical, contemporary, and pop music lovers, with special open-air concerts in the palace gardens during the summer.
LISZT FESTIVAL TAKES CENTER STAGE
From October 22 to 26, the 24th Liszt Festival draws in classical music buffs. Highlights include pianist Valentin Magyar, the Gödöllő Symphony Orchestra’s grand gala, and themed evenings like “Haydn Trios” and “Vienna–Budapest: Chamber Music from Liszt and Empress Sisi’s Europe.” Muza Rubackyte from Lithuania astounds with her piano recital, young talents step into the spotlight, and Povilas Norkūnas, fresh from his Lisztofonija win in Vilnius, performs.
POP, JAZZ, AND ANNIVERSARY SHOWS AHEAD
Beyond Liszt, there’s Zorán’s latest tour (Nov 11), a concert celebrating Mozart’s forgotten contemporaries by the Budavár Chamber Orchestra (Budavári Kamarazenekar), and special Valentine’s Day, Women’s Day, and Mother’s Day events featuring stars like Nikolas Takács, Csaba Vastag, and Zoltán Miller.
