Budapest is preparing for one of Hungary’s biggest sporting events: the 40th Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, on Pázmány Péter Promenade (Pázmány Péter sétány). Participants will race past famous landmarks, including UNESCO World Heritage sites and historic buildings, with routes crossing several of Budapest’s iconic bridges.
Race Options for Everyone
Runners can choose from three main categories: take on the half marathon (13.1 miles) solo, split the distance in a 2- or 3-person relay team, or sign up for the 10 km (6.2 miles) run. All races start from the scenic Pázmány Péter Promenade (Pázmány Péter sétány), giving every participant a spectacular view of the city.
