November 14, 2025. Tapolca brings back the Saint Martin Family Day and Regional Talent Point Meet-up at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Primary School (Nagyboldogasszony Római Katolikus Általános Iskola), taking over the building and the yard with hands-on workshops, music, dance, and a lantern parade that lights up the town center.
Morning: Craft, color, glow
School classes spend the morning making lanterns in craft sessions with pressed autumn leaves and paper mosaics, getting ready for the evening procession.
Afternoon: Shows, games, talent in motion
From 3:00 p.m. in the schoolyard, the Saint Martin’s Day gala kicks off with an opening majorette flag dance. The Zenebona Art Workshop (Zenebona Művészeti Műhely) stages the legend of Saint Martin, followed by the Kerekerdő Folk Games (Kerekerdő Népi Játékok) talent workshop performing “Libás játékok” (Goose Games). There’s a dance house for future first-graders led by Gabriella Szijártóné Lovász. At 3:45 p.m., results are announced for the kindergarten illustration contest.
