Budapest’s Zsilip rolls out cozy Shabbat Fridays and a revamped Jewish Sunday School, designed for kids, teens, and parents who want learning with laughter and plenty of play. Families are invited to show up together—and everyone actually gets something out of it.
Nov 14, 2025 – Friday Fun-Sized
“Péntekecske péntek este” turns Shabbat prep into a split-level experience: adults head to the synagogue for Rabbi Glitzi’s teaching, while kids dive into the Zsiliputi playhouse with a madricha leading hands-on activities. Expect weekly Torah themes, Shabbat basics, and current holidays explained with pictures, crafts, and games. Listen well, and there are prizes—plus a raffle. Bring the whole crew and learn together on Shabbos.
Nov 16, 2025 – Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School
Sunday mornings are back at Zsilip, now reborn as the Zsiliputi Zsidó Vasárnapi Iskola (Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School). Former regulars still talk about the memories made through shared games and playful learning—and the new format levels that up in the two-story playhouse and study rooms of the Zsilip Center. From 10:00 to 12:30, a young, energetic team welcomes ages 4–14 for age-based sessions: getting ready for holidays, learning about mitzvot, exploring traditions, and absorbing the values that carry through life. Tiny kid, tween, almost youth leader, or pre–Bar/Bat Mitzvah—this is made for you. Budapest.
Nov 21, 2025 – Friday, Round Two
Same warm formula: Rabbi Glitzi’s teaching for adults; playful Torah and Shabbos learning for kids with a madricha—pictures, games, prizes, and a raffle. Families welcome. Budapest.
