This year marks the 30th anniversary of Anima Sound System’s iconic album Shalom, and on Saturday, November 22, it will be performed from start to finish at the A38 Ship (A38 Hajó). The band won’t stop at nostalgia: they’ll also preview the first part of their upcoming album trilogy, Jerusalem My Love, titled Talita Kumba, which brings strong Jewish–Arab influences.
New Songs and a Full Album Performance
Alongside the complete replay of Shalom, new compositions will arrive that hint at the sound of the next era. The bridge between old and new will be built not only through songs but through atmosphere as well.
Folk Music Meets Electronica
The evening will be a meeting of folk music and electronica: trance, remembrance, and forward-looking energy all at once, where history, literature, and dance flow together. The concert promises surprises, while Shalom’s legacy gains new light through the shades of Talita Kum.
