Siófok rolls out a packed 2026 with beachside festivals, open-air concerts, theater, exhibitions, family days, and kid-friendly fun across the southern shore of Lake Balaton. From lavender fields to late-night techno, street music to sunset cruises, the city makes a strong case for visiting in every season—especially this summer.
Lavender, Boats and a Citywide Game
June 12–14, June 19–21, and June 26–28, ÉnKertem hosts Lavender Harvest at Diófás út 136—peak-purple days for cutting your own blooms and soaking up countryside calm a few minutes from town. All month and deep into July, Siófok’s boat trips keep rolling, from classic sightseeing rides to disco boats departing from the Boat Station (Hajóállomás). There’s also a self-guided outdoor city adventure game June 8–14, June 15–21, and June 22–28, perfect for families or friends who want to unlock local landmarks with puzzles and pace.
Opening Weekend at Plázs
Friday, June 19, Plázs Siófok fires up with a Neoton night from 7 pm to 11 pm, and Metzker & Friends takes the Arena: Metzker Viktória, Koósz Milán, Mario, Pixa, plus on-site cameras from K-OSZ TV. The same weekend brings the Everness Festival (Everness Fesztivál, June 19–28), blending wellness, music, and mindful vibes by the water.
Street Soundtracks and Night Boats
Saturday, June 20 is stacked: Pogány Induló hits Plázs, the disco boat heads out, and the 2nd Street Music Cavalcade (Utcazene Kavalkád) floods city corners with live music across genres, from young talents to seasoned buskers. Expect direct, unbuttoned energy—wander, stop for a song, let the music pull you along. Also June 20: Siófok Walks (Siófoki séták) guided tours, and the 2nd Siófok Mölkky Championship from 1 pm in the Beszédes József School park, with authentic Mölkky sets for the winners and a Finnish quiz for the fearless.
Green Walks, Dance and AstroFest
From June 22 to August 19, the Strand Library pops up on Sóstó and Újhely beaches. On June 25, join a free “green” city walk led by Siófok’s chief gardener—building tales, park legends, riddles, and codebreaking included. June 26 brings a high-energy BNK (Bódis-Nagy Katinka) Dance Association showcase at the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center. Then the two-day AstroFest (June 26–27) takes over Plázs: big main-stage names like Bruno x Spacc, ValMar, KKevin, T. Danny; Metzker & Friends in the Party Arena; beachside DJs; One Dance on the Small Plázs (Kisplázs); and VIP pool sets. Multiple stages, limited tickets, and Balaton as your backdrop.
Sunday Sounds and Collectors’ Morning
June 28 doubles up: St. Martin performs at 5 pm in the Evangelical Church, while numismatists gather for the 35th National Coin Collectors’ Meeting from 8 am to noon at the Gyula Krúdy Vocational High School (Krúdy Gyula).
July Ignites at Plázs and the Park Stage
July 1: Majka at Plázs (gates 7 pm), and American Comedy (Amerikai komédia) hits the Kálmán Imre Outdoor Stage at 9 pm, Veres 1 Színház’s new revival of Károly Aszlányi’s play. Cast includes Kata Janza/Mónika Horváth, Kornél Simon, Ádám Bálint, and more, with music by Artisjus- and Fonogram-winning composer-saxophonist Bálint Bársony. Every Weekend: Walks, Beats and Boat Parties
Siófok Walks return July 3 and 10, with BSW and the Gang at Plázs July 3, followed by Metzker & Friends with BSW Gaben (DJ set), Bogi Nagy, and Milán Koósz. July 4 serves a disco boat, Dzsúdló at Plázs (gates 7 pm), and a Kids’ Boat—pirates, magicians, treasure hunts, and deck games.
Jazz, Techno and Nostalgia
July 9 splits between two heavy-hitters: Mobb Deep at Plázs (gates 7 pm) and Fiddler on the Roof (Hegedűs a háztetőn) by the Vörösmarty Theatre (Vörösmarty Színház) at 9 pm on the outdoor stage, rain date July 10. Tickets: Cat I $38.4, II $32.9, III $30.1, IV $24.9. Also July 9, the Evening Chill (Esti Chill) sets sail with sunset views, mellow tunes, and cocktails. July 10: Metzker & Friends returns with Mollywood, Hazetomika, and Milán Koósz; TechnoMatch opens at 11 pm with international DJs Henrieta Fogel, Vuiiitka, Mario Baric, and more; plus Róbert Szikora and R-GO (Szikora Róbert és az R-GO) at Plázs. The New Orleans Jazz Festival runs July 10–12, alongside the 10th Balaton Babetta Tour (X. Balaton Babetta Túra; vintage mopeds) based at the BAHART port. July 11 repeats the kids’ boat and disco boat, and July 11–12 splashes out with the ULTRA COLOR FESTIVAL at Plázs.
Family Favorites and Big Stage Returns
The city adventure game and boat tours keep rolling July 13–19, with a Tuesday disco boat on July 14. July 15, The Jungle Book (A dzsungel könyve) by Pannon Castle Theatre (Pannon Várszínház) lands at 8 pm on the outdoor stage, rain date July 16. Tickets: Cat I $27.4, II $24.9, III $22, IV $19.2.
Sunset Cruises and Anniversary Nights
July 16 brings another Evening Chill sunset sail. On July 17, Róbert Koltai’s one-man show Will I Never Die? (Sose halok meg?) plays the Cultural Center Teátrum ($6.8), while the Plázs Boat Party with Viktória Metzker & Friends leaves at 8 pm for a two-hour sunset rave on the lake. That same night, Follow The Flow celebrates 10 years at Plázs with a career-spanning set from 7 pm.
Ride the Night, Live the Lake
July 18 layers it up: kids’ boat, disco boat, Siófok Walks, and the Night Small Loop Bike Tour (Éjszakai Kiskör). Register 6–9 pm by the Water Tower; roll out at 9 pm to Szántód, ferry to the Tihany lookout, then Balatonfüred, the Alsóörs pub row, a refresh in Kenese, a moon check in Balatonvilágos, and back to Siófok.
Stand-Up, Stories and Retro Fever
July 19, Péter Aranyosi’s stand-up The Digital Ninja hits the outdoor stage at 8:30 pm ($18.1–$23.3). July 20–26 keeps the boats and city game cruising. On July 23, the chief gardener’s green city walk returns, plus another Evening Chill sailing. July 24, Dorka Gryllus: Unscripted (Gryllus Dorka: Kötetlenül) takes the Cultural Center Teátrum ($6.8). July 25 cranks up a disco boat, a kids’ boat, and Balaton Retro Fever (Balatoni Retro Láz) for pure throwback bliss. And from July 27, the summer show goes on.
