On June 6, the Mineral Museum (Ásványmúzeum) celebrates its 40th birthday at 10 Kálmán Imre Promenade with free admission 11:00 AM–3:30 PM. Opened June 6, 1986 by founder-owner Lajos Kövecses‑Varga, the heritage-listed private collection has grown into a Europe-famous trove. Expect refreshed showcases of rare Transylvanian formations from the Carpathian Basin, a time trip through dinosaur footprints and fossils, guided stories from the collector, and a Jubilee Shop with limited, signed-label mineral rarities.

All June and into July, try the outdoor city “adventure game,” a playful, self-guided way to discover landmarks with friends or kids. July’s big-stage musicals
July 1 at 9:00 PM, Veres 1 Színház revives American Comedy (Amerikai komédia), a swing musical set aboard the luxury ship La Paz in 1938 New York. Cast includes Kata Janza/Mónika Horváth, Kornél Simon, Ádám Bálint, and more, with music by Bálint Bársony and direction by Károly Peller. Runtime: 100 minutes plus intermission.
