Siófok’s downtown Fő tér turns into a hands-on road safety playground on Thursday, May 7, 2026, as the city hosts Traffic Safety Day — SiófokON in Safety (Közlekedésbiztonsági Nap — SiófokON Biztonságban). Expect eye-catching demos, interactive tools, and try-it-yourself stations that drew big crowds last year. The family-friendly event is open to everyone, with attractions tailored for preschoolers through seniors, from 9:00 to 14:00.

What It’s All About
The aim is to make safe travel second nature for all ages—pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers—through playful, immersive learning. Activities spotlight smart, cautious use of modern tools in everyday city traffic: road-safety tasks, Highway Code (KRESZ) mini-lessons, accident simulations, drug-prevention and first-aid talks, a rollover and seatbelt simulator, VR goggles, a smoke tent, and a themed drawing contest. There’s also a giant bubble show, a costume meet-and-greet with PAW Patrol’s Chase (“Mancs Őrjárat Chase”), “drunk goggles,” vehicle showcases, quizzes, and plenty of prizes.
