Get ready for the ultimate foodie weekend in Siófok! On November 8 and 9, the GasztroFok festival returns for the third time, uniting the city’s finest chefs, local producers, and winemakers. If you’re passionate about good food and new flavors, mark your calendar now—Siófok invites you to sample a whirlwind of reinvented tastes, all across the city.
A Culinary Round Trip
GasztroFok began two years ago and quickly became a highlight for both locals and visitors. The idea was simple: showcase Siófok’s diverse food and wine scene and encourage a year-round Lake Balaton (Balaton) lifestyle, instead of focusing only on summer. By collaborating with the top restaurants from Széplak (Széplak) to Sóstó (Sóstó) and from Kiliti (Kiliti) to Szabadi (Szabadi), as well as including local suppliers, the event aims to put Siófok (Siófok) on the region’s culinary map.
This year’s patron is young local talent Noel Fodor, a member of Hungary’s Bocuse d’Or 2024 team, who won the “Most Beautiful Plate” special award at the finals.
Flavors for Every Taste
The lineup has it all: artisan producers, renowned wineries, high-end gourmet restaurants, street food vendors, and dessert shops. Whether you crave Italian, Asian, countryside barbecue, or traditional Hungarian cuisine, there’s a menu created just for this festival. The full list of offerings will be posted on the Siófok Guide (Siofokguide) Facebook page, the city’s website, and at the local Tourinform office.
Expect brunches by After & Brunch and Café Maran, premium wines from the Aligai Horváth Winery (Aligai Horváth Pincészet), and rustic delights from Apa Világa (Father’s World). Try smoky specialties from Déli Part (Southern Side), authentic Italian dishes at Bella Italia, Pietro, and Egy Csipet Nápoly (A Pinch of Naples), traditional Hungarian meals at Öreg Halász (Old Fisherman) and Sanyi Sarok (Sanyi’s Corner), favorites from Sushi Bár (Sushi Bar), and unique flavors at Kiskert (Little Garden). Don’t forget dessert at Dinasztia Cukrászda (Dynasty Confectionery)! Families: the HashtEgg Toyee adventure park will be ready for kids all weekend.
Extra Specials and Tips
Music, live shows, festival discounts, and special offers will fill the weekend. To get the most out of your experience, tables should be reserved in advance. The GasztroTaxi service helps guests get around stress-free at a great price, so you can sample more locations.
