Nicsak, ki lakik itt?! (Run for Your Wife?) – March 1, Sunday 7pm

Ray Cooney’s madcap comedy in two acts, translated and dramatized by Benedek Albert, reworked for revival by Benedek Albert, Oliver W. Horvath, and HCS. Original from Bánfalvy Stúdió 2018, refreshed in 2025. Directed by Horváth Csaba, produced by HCS and Oliver W. Horvath. Stars include Varga Izabella, Hujber Ferenc, Ganxsta Zolee, Sándor Péter, and Bugár Anna. The plot? A London-based Hungarian guy is fed up with free money scams—unemployment benefits, pension, sick pay, child allowance, disability, free milk, even a nursing bra racket that sparks wifely jealousy. He wants to ditch the fraud before getting busted, preferring to keep his wife and freedom. But shaking off the handouts ain’t easy! Koltai Róbert’s unforgettable film springs to life as a musical with Dés László’s killer score. Shoulder-brace Uncle Gyuszi guides his teen nephew—and us—through early ’60s Hungary, packed with quirky spots, characters, and dilemmas. Poems by Arany, Petőfi, Ady, József Attila, Kosztolányi, Babits, Pilinszky, Orbán Ottó, Petri, Parti-Nagy, Villon-Faludy, Tóth Krisztina—through Mácsai Pál’s eyes and voice.

Biographical stand-up, one act (90 minutes). Celebs share life-defining moments in the Egy életem series—life writes the script. Kapa to the nation, beloved by all, but his path was rocky.
