April highlights
April 23 kicks off in Balf with a panoramic bike tour along the Csárdakapui Main Channel. On April 24 and May 8, 15, 22, 29, plus June 5, 12, 17, 19, 24, and July 1, the Hanyi Safari offers guided wildlife watching. April 25 doubles up: another scenic Lake Fertő ride from Balf and a Charity Spritzer Party at Harkai Fröccsterasz in Harka. On April 30, Hegykő raises the traditional maypole at 76 Kossuth Lajos Street.
May on wheels and water
May 1 brings May Day in Hegykő (76 Kossuth Lajos Street) and the 11th Fertőszentmiklós City Running Day. May 2 launches the e-boat on Lake Fertő from Fertőrákos, returning May 7, 14, 16, 21, 28, 30, and June 4, 9, 11, 18, 20, 25. Kayak tours in the reeds from Balf run May 7, 14, 21, 28 and throughout June. May 10 features a Panoramic Run in Fertőrákos (1 Main St.). On May 16, Legendary Fertő Landscape X – From Fertőrákos to Sopron (Legendás Fertő-táj X. – Rákostól Sopronig) starts at the Fertőrákos Quarry bus stop. On May 21, Hegykő hosts the St. Urban’s Day Wine Selection (74 Kossuth Lajos Street). On May 30, pedal the “On the Chapel Route…” cultural ride in Sopronkövesd, plus another e-boat trip.
June and summer vibes
June 7 is Children’s Day in Hegykő. June 12–14, the 1 Csepp Festival fills Hegykő with music and fun. Concerts hit Fertőrákos: June 21, Somewhere in America – Bon-Bon 30 musical (Valahol Amerika – Bon-Bon 30), June 27, Roby Lakatos Gypsy Jazz Project.
