Late May: Books, Boats, Birds, and Laughs
Start May 27 in Fertőd with a cozy book club at Esterházy Palace (Esterházy-kastély). On May 28, paddle the reeds on a canoe tour in Balf, or glide across Lake Fertő (Lake Neusiedl) on an e-boat from Fertőrákos. May 29 doubles down: sunset birdwatching with Dóra Tislér in Fertőd, Hany Safari wildlife outings, Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park in Fertőrákos, and a sci‑fi quiz night at the Esterházy Café in Fertőd. May 30 is stacked: the 5th Cenk Family Picnic, a food fest meets Children’s Day in Nagycenk; the Chapel Route by bike through Alpokalja from Sopronkövesd; more e-boat rides; a lounge party under starry skies in Fertőd; the UEFA Champions League final screening at Széchenyi Palace (Széchenyi-kastély) in Nagycenk; a themed palace tour on flowers, vines, and fountains in Fertőd; plus Fertőd’s Children’s Day. June 6 in Fertőrákos: “Poros kalapon égi gyöngy,” a multi-troupe dance showcase. June 7: Children’s Day in Hegykő and a folk dance concert by local schools and Pendelyes in Fertőrákos. E-boats return June 9 and 11. June 12: Night of Movement in Sopronkövesd and the musical comedy Egy csók és más semmi in Fertőrákos.
Mid-June: Big Voices, Big Nights
From June 12–14, the 1 Csepp Festival lands in Hegykő. June 13 brings a Magdi Rúzsa concert in Fertőrákos and Sun & Moon at Széchenyi Palace (Széchenyi-kastély) in Nagycenk. June 14: Orlai Production’s farce You Rang, M’Lord? (Csengetett, Mylord?) in Fertőrákos.
Late June: Canoes, Legends, and Garden Nights
Canoe tours in Balf on June 16, 18, 23, and 25, with Hany Safaris on June 17, 19, 24, and 26. June 18 and 20 offer e-boat rides from Fertőrákos. June 19: a Charlie concert. June 19–20: Gastro Music Garden in Fertőszentmiklós. June 20: Mónika Fischl and friends with the Győr Philharmonic, and on June 21 the Bon‑Bon 30 musical Somewhere in America (Valahol Amerika) plays twice in Fertőrákos.
Final Stretch: Pop, Jazz, Summer Evenings
June 26: Attila Kökény & Viktor Rakonczai’s I’ll See You Again (Újra látlak) in Fertőrákos, plus another Hany Safari. June 26–28: Széplak Courtyard Evenings (Széplaki Udvari Esték) fills Fertőszéplak with summery courtyard vibes. June 27: Roby Lakatos Gypsy Jazz Project in Fertőrákos.
