Etyek throws open the cellar doors on September 4, 2026, for the Etyek Sparkling Celebration (Etyeki Pezsgőünnep) at Rókusfalvy Estate (Rókusfalvy Birtok), 2091 Etyek, Újhegyi út 89. Not a dry-as-dust conference, not a standard wine fair, this late-summer day lets bubbles slip out of the meeting room and back to where they belong: among people, along long tables, across the wine region, into food, conversations, and sunset. The place where sparkling wine was born to live.
Over decades, we’ve toasted with fizz at weddings, after big wins, on New Year’s Eve, at fresh starts. Usually, something else is the star. Here, sparkling wine steps into the spotlight—not simply as a drink, but as culture, a meeting point, a shared language. By day’s end, you’ll leave not only with standout cuvées, but new stories, inspiring encounters, and a stack of memories. And yes, a touch of myth-busting professionalism may finally settle whether a spoon in the bottle neck does anything at all.
What Makes the Day Sparkle
Expect the most exciting bubbles from across the Carpathian Basin; origin-protected Etyek sparklings and special bottlings from the Winemakers’ Winemaker (Borászok Borásza) community; regional gastronomic highlights; conversations with well-known figures from wine, gastronomy, and culture; workshops and a masterclass with limited editions; an Éliás Junior Quartet sunset concert; a grill dinner; and an end-of-summer fizz among the vines.
