On September 13, 2025, Deszk’s Leisure Park (Szabadidő Park) turns into a vibrant hub for Balkan delights at the Ajvar Festival. Guests can immerse themselves in Southeastern European culture, with food, music, and quirky competitions bringing the flavor.
Old Tractors, Artisan Street
Things kick off at 10 AM with a parade of tractors and a flashy Tractor Show. Wander down Artisan Street to find handmade goods, browse the craft market, or join creative workshops. Families can relax at the folk-themed playground or try their hand at traditional archery.
Ajvar, Contests, and Giant “Kolo” Dance
Crowds will gather to watch ajvar—Balkan roasted pepper spread—being made live. Cooks will compete in an ajvar-cooking contest, while Hungary’s largest Serbian “kolo” (circle dance) whirls across the park. Snack at the Balkan Terrace, sample Serbian dishes, and soak up the local culture.
Music Until Night
Live acts include the Yugoton concert, Orkestar of Radovan Marić (Orkestar Radovana Marića), and a FolkFest on the main stage, making the Ajvar Festival a spicy day out for everyone.
