PesText Spring arrives May 8–9 across three Budapest (Budapest) venues, bringing literature lovers face-to-face with international voices including Erlend Loe, Arne Dahl, Vetle Lid Larssen, Wojciech Tochman, Agata Dudek, and Matteo Strukul. Big Names, Up Close
Over two days, the festival brings together novelists, journalists, and illustrators for lively conversations and readings, then sticks around for signings. Workshops open up the creative process, while a poetry walk turns the city into a page. The exhibition adds a visual twist to the storytelling mix.
First City Picnic
Before the bookish buzz, the team kicks off with a first-ever city picnic on May 1 under the City Park (Városliget) canopy. Drop in for a sunny daytime hang with workshops, a lineup of great food trucks, and a design fair. Bring friends, grab a patch of grass, and make a spring day out of it.
