The Szentendre Open-Air Ethnographic Museum (Skanzen) is hosting hands-on theme days from January 1 to December 31, 2025. Groups from kindergarten through 12th grade can book special sessions connected to various seasons and traditional celebrations.
Interactive Learning for Everyone
Schools can even register entire grades or multiple classes for these immersive museum education programs. The activities are fully accessible—children with intellectual, hearing, mobility, or visual disabilities are all welcome. Sessions last up to 180 minutes and take place at 2000 Sztaravodai Road (Sztaravodai út), Szentendre.
Experience Hungarian Folk Traditions
The available themes include Easter preparations, the Whitsun king and queen selection traditions, the journey from seed to bread, and the lively Hungarian Harvest Festival (Szüret). It’s a chance for kids to get hands-on and discover the country’s agricultural rhythm and time-honored rituals, turning history class into a fun adventure. All workshops are scheduled according to the official school calendar.
