Every year, the Mézesvölgy Summer (Mézesvölgyi Nyár)—Veres 1 Theatre (Veres 1 Színház)’s summer festival—lights up Pest County, and in 2025, the event returns from June 21 to August 31 with more excitement than ever. The vibrant lineup includes 25 performances and concerts, bringing together top actors and hit productions for theater lovers. With an open-air auditorium seating 1,900, surrounded by nature and offering a wide variety of shows, Mézesvölgy Summer has become one of the top cultural highlights in the region every summer. The festival features family shows, musicals, comedies, concerts, and even unique spectacular performances.
Unmissable Shows and Concerts
July in Veresegyház (Veresegyház) kicks off with a concert by the stars of Neoton Family (Neoton Família) on the 15th. That same month, musical fans can enjoy The Attic (A Padlás) on the 18th, and The Dream Car (A Meseautó) on the 19th. On the 22nd, children and families are treated to Oz, the Wonder of Wonders (Oz, a Csodák Csodája), a musical fairy tale show.
The program keeps growing: Lovers from Ancona (Anconai szerelmesek), a musical comedy, follows on the 23rd. A dose of suspense arrives on July 26 with The Murder of Ackroyd (Az Ackroyd-gyilkosság). Theatergoers can catch Menopause (Menopauza), a musical, on both July 29 and 30.
August brings even more variety, with the HAVASI Piano Show on the 2nd, and the classic comedy Hippolyt the Butler (Hippolyt, a lakáj) on August 5. Family audiences will love the musical Pocahontas in one act on August 8, and the wacky musical extravaganza Cat Catcher (Macskafogó) in two parts on August 9.
Be sure not to miss the operetta gala Not a Ragged Life (Nem rongyos élet) on August 13, and the biographical stand-up show One Life (Egy életem)—the story of Szabolcs Thuróczy (Thuróczy Szabolcs)—on August 16. The laughter continues on August 21 with The Dreadfully Decent Guest (Rém rendes vendég), a two-act comedy.

Popular singer Magdi Rúzsa (Rúzsa Magdi) gives a concert on August 23. August 25 features I Am Your Silence (Csönded vagyok), a tribute to songwriter Tamás Cseh (Cseh Tamás). The festival wraps up with Kiss King (Csókkirály), a grand concert on August 27, and Kelemen the Mason (Kőműves Kelemen), a rock ballad, closing the season on August 30.
