Monthly Story Evenings in 2026

“Fairy Tales for Adults – 12 Months with Tales” invites adults in 2026 to monthly Thursday sessions from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Organized along the wheel of the year, these gatherings welcome anyone open to self-reflection and depth through the symbolic language of folk tales. The images and wisdom of folk narratives help make sense of the psyche’s natural rhythms across the seasons and apply them in daily life.

What Each Month Explores

January – Year-Start Tale Evening: A moment for reckoning and charting new directions. Tales help identify where we’re starting from and which inner resources can carry us forward.

February – Carnival Tale Evening: Masks, roles, transformation. Stories invite a look at what we show the world and what hides beneath the surface.

March – Lenten Tale Evening: Slowing down and tidying within. Through lack, trials, and perseverance, tales support inner cleansing.

April – Easter Tale Evening: Renewal after loss. Tales explore how challenges can lead to new life situations.

May – Pentecost Tale Evening: Tuning in and communal strength. Stories ask how we find our voice with ourselves and others, and how collaboration is born.

June – Midsummer Tale Evening: The longest days brim with light and vitality. Tales speak of passion, crossing boundaries, and the power of conscious choice.

July – Summer Tale Evening: Openness and gathering experience. Journey tales help us see what the road teaches and how experiences shape us.

August – Harvest, St. Stephen’s (Szent István) Tale Evening: Fulfillment and evaluation. Tales help recognize what’s truly ours and what we can pass on.

September – Autumn-Start Tale Evening: Ripening and letting go. Stories support turning release into a basis for moving on.

October – All Saints’ Tale Evening: Memory and connection with loss. Tales create space for grief, remembrance, and restoring inner order.

November – Advent-Preparatory Tale Evening: Waiting as inward attention. Tales prepare us for what’s arriving—in the holiday and inside.

December – Advent, Christmas-Waiting Tale Evening: Closing the year and arriving at the feast. Stories about connection, acceptance, and finding inner light.
