Szob’s harbor joins the Visegrád–Nagymaros–Zebegény–Szob–Esztergom sightseeing loop in 2026, with hop-on, hop-off access along the route all day on a single-day ticket. Travelers get front-row views of the Esztergom stretch of the Danube, including Esztergom Basilica and the Maria Valeria Bridge (Mária Valéria híd), framed by the Danube Bend’s (Dunakanyar) one-of-a-kind panoramas.
Route and Highlights
Leaving Esztergom, the boat glides past the mouth of the Garam (Hron), then turns at the Ipoly (Ipeľ) estuary toward Zebegény. It’s a laid-back base for a short hike to the Trianon Memorial, a visit to the István Szőnyi Museum (Szőnyi István Múzeum), and a bite of classic beachside lángos before sailing back.
