Every Sunday, 5 a.m.–12 p.m., Szombathely’s bustling flea market takes over the city’s Market Hall (Vásárcsarnok). Show up early, dig deep, and uncover the kind of finds you won’t stumble upon anywhere else.

Where to find it and when to go

The market stretches under the canopy on the St. Martin Street (Szent Márton utca) side, spills into the Small Hall (Kiscsarnok) on the Hunyadi Street (Hunyadi út) side, and runs through the rear Hall II. It happens every Sunday between 5 a.m. and noon, rain or shine. Sellers can register on-site by filling out a form, or download it from the website and email it back by Wednesday at 12 p.m. sharp.

What you’ll actually find

It’s a proper flea market (zsibvásár): second-hand stalls stacked with retro gear, antiques, vinyl, books, handmade pieces, and the odd miracle you’ve been hunting for forever. If sustainability is your thing, you’ll love it twice over — you’re keeping items in circulation and picking up stylish clothes and accessories for a fraction of regular store prices. Expect surprises that bring a little magic and personality to your home.
