On October 19, 2025, TerraPlaza returns to Budapest, transforming the Lurdy Conference and Event Center (Lurdy Ház) into a paradise for exotic animal lovers. This isn’t just an expo—it’s a lifestyle event, an enormous community gathering, and the largest of its kind in Central Europe. With more than 100 carefully selected exhibitors from around the globe spread across 28,000 square feet, and thousands of devoted fans, TerraPlaza secures Budapest’s place on every animal enthusiast’s calendar. And if you can’t make it in October, don’t worry—the event returns four times a year.
A Zoo, Market, and Community All in One
Whether you’re planning a quick two-hour visit or spending the entire day, TerraPlaza offers a unique experience for everyone. Dive into dazzling displays as top breeders present the latest species, rare varieties, and share expert care tips. Both newcomers and seasoned terrarium and aquarium hobbyists gather here, ready to exchange ideas or simply marvel at the diversity on display.
More Than Just Terrariums
While TerraPlaza’s roots are firmly planted in the world of terrariums, it has blossomed into a much broader event. The aquarium scene in particular has exploded, making this Hungary’s hotspot for both terrarium and aquarium enthusiasts. Alongside eye-catching animal exhibits, you’ll find hands-on workshops, lively meetups, and educational sessions focused on wildlife and animal welfare.
Top Care and Animal Comfort
No animal is transferred or displayed unless it has been thoroughly checked by a veterinarian—and meets strict animal welfare guidelines. Only healthy, well-kept animals are available for sale. All this ensures that every guest encounters only the best, and buys directly from expert breeders at reasonable prices.
Be Part of Something Bigger
With over 40,000 members, the TerraPlaza community is always growing. Here, you not only build lasting friendships with fellow reptile and aquarium fans but also leave with new knowledge, fresh inspiration, and perhaps a new pet. Children under 6 get in free. The doors open at 10:00 and close at 17:00. Both online and on-the-door tickets are available—after 16:00, entry is $4 for everyone.
