The Kelenvölgy (Kelenvölgy) Ezerjó Festival returns on October 4, 2025, promising a vibrant, family-friendly day in Budapest’s District 11 (1116), at 2 Kardhegy Street. Entry is completely free, making it the perfect spot for locals to gather and celebrate everything from grape pressing and unique local wines to craft beers and delicious food.
Wine, Food, and Much More
The program kicks off at 9:00 am with a cooking contest featuring wine-based dishes, followed by a lively opening show with the Weiner Trombone Quintet. Throughout the day, you can enjoy performances from the Újbuda Majorette Ensemble (Újbuda Mazsorett Együttes), the Kelenvölgy (Kelenvölgy) Women’s Choir, and local schools, as well as a popular children’s theater show, “The Most Charming Giant.”
Games, Concerts, and Tastings
Sample freshly pressed grape must with the Gardener’s Club (Kertbarát Kör), catch concerts by the Eszter-lánc Fairy Tale Band (Eszter-lánc Mesezenekar), Restifecske, and Hipnózia, and join the communal barbecue, fun raffle, and bustling market. The mayor will even stop by for a greeting at 6:00 pm. It’s not just about the wine—it’s a true neighborhood celebration.
