Nagykanizsa is gearing up for another packed theatre season at the Kanizsa Cultural Center (Kanizsai Kulturális Központ) and the Hevesi Sándor Community Center (Hevesi Sándor Művelődési Központ). Audiences can grab season passes for kids, youth, or adults, or just buy tickets to individual performances if that’s more their style. There’s something on all year, and you never know what might pop up outside the regular schedule.
Highlights of the 2025/2026 Season
Kick off the autumn with “TITKOSSZOLGÁK” (Secret Agents) by LOUPE Theatre Company (LOUPE Színházi Társulás), a tragicomedy hitting the stage on October 25, 2025. Two days later, have a laugh with “HATAN PIZSAMÁBAN” (Six in Pajamas), Marc Camoletti’s comedy performed by Játékszín.
Come November, the acclaimed Örkény István Theatre (Örkény István Színház) presents “Anyám tyúkja” (Mother’s Hen) for a memorable evening. Looking ahead to 2026, don’t miss “Üvegfal” (Glass Wall) with Dorka Gryllus and Kornél Simon on February 5.
