For the ninth year in a row, the renowned festival kicks off its program with a national premiere that fashion lovers can’t miss. This time, a special exhibition, held in professional collaboration, brings the iconic works of legendary German fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh (1944-2019) to Hungary for the very first time.
Reinventing Beauty
Since the 1980s, Lindbergh has been one of fashion photography’s most talked-about names. A true trailblazer, he sought to capture timeless character through his minimalist approach, setting aside trends to redefine beauty on his own terms. Lindbergh’s portraits stand out for their unforced authenticity and naturalness—qualities rarely seen in the ad-driven, highly staged fashion world of his era. His unique perspective deliberately broke away from the period’s rigidly constructed aesthetics, swimming against the current of mainstream fashion photography.
