Tokodâs village celebration and Harvest Festival, the Tokod Picnic (Tokodi Piknik), returns September 20-21, 2025, on Lajos Kossuth Street (Kossuth Lajos utca). The weekend kicks off Saturday morning with the LĂĄszlĂł Tarcsai Memorial Football Tournament and music by the HomorĂłdalmĂĄs Brass Band (HomorĂłdalmĂĄsi RĂ©zfĂșvĂłszenekar), who will parade through town starting at 9:30 am. At 2 pm, the lively harvest parade takes over the streets.
Family Shows and Concerts
The afternoon is packed with excitement: the Pearls of Isis (Ăzisz Gyöngyszeme) belly dancers, a Marvel superhero show for kids, and the dazzling Starlight (CsillagfĂ©ny) majorettes. Vilmos Gryllus (Gryllus Vilmos) takes the stage at 5 pm, followed by the official opening ceremony. The entertainment continues with more brass and majorette performances, and concerts by Zsolt Erdei (Erdei Zsolt), MiklĂłs Varga (Varga MiklĂłs), and the headliners, Hooligans. Radio 1 (RĂĄdiĂł1) DJs Geri JuhĂĄsz (JuhĂĄsz Geri) and NewI will keep the party going into the night, with RHS Disco closing the event.
Sunday: Dance and Cinema
Sunday features a majorette festival at 3 pm, showcasing local and guest dance groups. At 6 pm, the picnic cinema screens “How Could I Live Without You?” (“Hogyan tudnĂ©k Ă©lni NĂ©lkĂŒled?”). Throughout the event, enjoy childrenâs programs, a bouncy castle, Ninja Warrior course, virtual simulator, face painting, vendors, and food and drink stalls. Organizers warn: schedule subject to change!
