On September 28, 2025, Budapest’s World Tourism Day celebration offers a special combo: enjoy a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the stunning Pest Vigadó (Pesti Vigadó), then take in extraordinary city views on a scenic Danube River cruise. The event runs in two shifts to fit your schedule.
Program Details
For the first round, meet at 12:50 PM in the Vigadó’s grand foyer. A local guide will walk you through its rich architectural history, then everyone will head out together to the Mahart dock by 2:15 PM. The cruise (2:30–3:35 PM) follows a route from Vigadó Square (Vigadó tér) to Margaret Bridge (Margit híd), then to Rákóczi Bridge (Rákóczi híd), and back.
The second round flips the order: assemble at the Mahart dock at 2:15 PM, cruise at 2:30, then explore the Vigadó’s (Pesti Vigadó) secrets afterward, ending by 4:45 PM. Tickets are $12 per person. Organizers may adjust the timing or events, so stay tuned for updates. Don’t miss this memorable day!
