Tucked away in the rolling hills of Kemenesalja, the Buti Pálinka House (Buti Pálinkaház) offers visitors the chance to discover the true essence of Hungarian pálinka. Made from local fruits and a touch of divine blessing, their craft-distilled spirits are famous for their unique aromas, rich flavors, and the warm, unforgettable experience they provide.
A Sip Through Tradition
The pálinka tasting program begins with a guided tour of the distillery, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at how this iconic Hungarian spirit gains its soul. The main event is tasting five different varieties from the impressive selection. The current lineup features 24 types of pálinka and 3 fruit brandies, including classics like plum, apple, pear, Williams pear (vilmoskörte), cherry, sour cherry, and apricot (all at 48% ABV), as well as grape pálinkas such as Irsai Oliver and Cserszegi Spicy (Cserszegi Fűszeres) (45% ABV). For something bolder, wild-fruit specialties such as wild plum, wild apple, wild cherry, black currant, elderberry, quince, hawthorn, mountain ash, and raspberry (each 45% ABV) are also available. Brands like Forest-Meadow Scent, Roasted Pumpkin, and Elderberry (42% ABV) round out the options.
