Bogáncs (Thistle), a beloved children’s opera based on István Fekete’s novel, hits the Budapest stage on October 16. The performance features Ferenc Kristofori as Bogáncs, along with a delightful cast including Máté Galamb and Marianna Sipos, under the imaginative direction of Jutta Bokor. Folk and Classical Hits for Every Taste
On October 20, young audiences can get hands-on with instruments at an interactive folk music show led by Zoltán Samu and his band at Rákosmenti Cooperation Kindergarten (Rákosmenti Összefogás Óvoda). Later, on November 3, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (Négy évszak) gets a fresh twist with Edit Nagy on flute and Zsolt Tassonyi on piano.
Cinderella Steals the Spotlight
Don’t miss Rossini’s Cinderella (Hamupipőke) opera on November 13 and December 2, with Sára Banai and Klaudia Pánczél sharing the lead. Expect a spectacular production staged by Gyula Mesterházy, with the Conterto Music Orchestra (Conterto Muzsika Zenekar) and Valéria Csányi conducting and playing piano.
