Vác rolls out a packed 2026 calendar across multiple venues, blending river adventures, comedy, concerts, theater, and big family days in one of the prettiest towns in the Danube Bend. Expect exhibitions, gigs, stage shows, film screenings, food fests, sports, plus plenty of guaranteed and optional leisure programs. Prices range roughly from $4.10 to $40.80. Organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs.
May highlights
May 18 kicks off with Sátántangó – Eszter Ráskó’s solo stand-up, hosted by Abigél Ress, at the Dumaszínház in the Madách Imre Cultural Center (Vác). Tickets: about $18.40–$23.30. On May 22, Tvrtko presents Chernobyl 40, an exclusive show at Váci Danube Bend Theater (Váci Dunakanyar Színház). May 23 brings Deákvár Family Day, and the holiday weekend launches high-speed hydrofoil trips: May 23–25 to Esztergom and from Vác to Visegrád. May 31: Children’s Day in the Rose Garden (Rózsakert).
June on stage and on the water
June 5: Sax-O-Funk concert (Madách Imre Cultural Center, Auditorium), tickets about $6.80. June 6: Rockomotív Bt. plays two shows, same price. June 12–13: Hollywood – Tini Dance Team at the Theater Hall, around $4.10–$10.90. June 21 doubles up with the National Animal and Flea Market and TAZE Dance Show – Seasons (Évszakok), first performance ($10.90). June 26–28: hydrofoils again to Esztergom and to Visegrád, while the 42nd Early Music Days Festival in Vác runs June 26–July 4. TAZE’s second and third performances land June 27 and 28 (each $10.90).
Summer flow
July 19 brings another National Animal and Flea Market. July 24–26: more hydrofoils to Esztergom and from Vác to Visegrád. August 16: the market returns. August 20–23 and August 22–25: late-summer hydrofoils run both up to Esztergom and over to Visegrád.
